Presentation concerning the Basic Research programme: outlining the activities to date, plans for the futureMarzena Oliwkiewicz-MiklasińskaThe primary purpose of the Basic Research Programme financed by the EEA and Norway Grants is to enhance research-based knowledge development through research cooperation between Poland and the Donor States. The National Science Centre acts as the Programme Operator since December 2018, following the rule of financing excellent scientific projects realised by research teams from Poland and the Donor States. On the Norwegian side, the programme is partnered with the Research Council of Norway. Our ambition is to ensure the best administrative support to the Programme beneficiaries, including foreign researchers conducting their projects at the Polish research institutions. Both Polish-Norwegian cooperation and coming to the renowned foreign scientists to Poland boost the internationalization and effective involvement of the Polish research society in promising, excellent initiatives and actions in the area of knowledge and innovation.
